Guide · Selling from home
Can I sell pickles & fermented foods from home in Georgia?
Yes, with limits — Georgia allows some pickles & fermented foods but prohibits others.
HB 398 lists dill pickles among non-potentially hazardous foods (O.C.G.A. § 26-2-470(7)). GDA's Cottage Food FAQ says cooked vegetable products such as salsas and tomato sauces do not qualify. Other pickled or fermented foods are not named.

Status is derived from Georgia's official allowed and prohibited foods lists. Even when a food is allowed, you still must meet that state's permit, labeling, and sales-channel rules.
